HORAE

Illustrated calendar following the Horae, twelve sisters in Ancient Greek myth that allegorically portray the hours of the day and months of the year. The calendar progression details individual portions of time, the month’s associations with traditional ceramic wares, as well as their representative symbols. Each section is partnered with a related excerpt from epics, poems, and other Greek texts.

Currently being featured and sold at the Blaffer Art and Design shop in the Blaffer Museum at the University of Houston.
